About Us
Who We Are
Our History
Building Wishes started with a passion for giving back, especially to those who need it most – KIDS! In 2020, a few guys looking to do some good things founded Building Wishes. Operating out of Fort Worth, Texas, the team designs and builds spaces that facilitate fun. Since its inception, Building Wishes has built over 40 playhouses for children and their families, delivering hope to the backyards of those who need it most.
Our mission
Our mission at Building Wishes is to bring safe, accessible play sets and playhouses to kids facing tremendous obstacles. We build things for the good of others.
Building Wishes partners with amazing companies and the wonderful people at Make-a-Wish to build wishes, allowing us to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves. We make a difference. Those who sponsor a build make a difference. Just one wish can have a tremendous impact on not only the kids, but their families and the community. That’s how we build wishes!
Our Motivation
Building Wishes is rooted in three simple truths: play is powerful, play is healthy, and play for all.
The power of play can’t be understated – it fosters creativity and discovery in ways that children understand. It helps kids understand the world around them.
Play also has countless health benefits. It builds problem-solving skills, social skills, and coordination skills, to name a few! Above all, though, play makes kids feel better.
Lastly, play for all means every child should have the opportunity to play, regardless of their circumstances. Play doesn’t discriminate – it’s powerful for all children, it’s healthy for all children, and it’s meant to be enjoyed by all children.
